Tisha Jenkins

December 31, 1969 — October 26, 2021

Mortisha, aka; Tish, Tisha, Tishy, Tissue or just plain T (though she was far from plain!) She was born April 7, 2006 in a litter of seven. Her Mother’s name was Deannie, who was a Dachshund. Her Father was unknown but contributed a mixture of terrier to our Tishy. Her first Mommy was Le Anne Jenkins, who picked her out. Tisha was the runt of the litter & the only puppy who had long fur. Tishy spent many happy times as a puppy in her new home with her human family of four, initially at Jenkins Funeral Home in Newton. Her humans lived there for a little while in a small apartment. She loved to run around the funeral home whenever her humans let her out of the apartment…She also really enjoyed going outside & exploring the cemetery! Tisha followed her humans to her new home in Conover after they finally moved into a real house! She had 4 acres to run around in & loved to chase the squirrels & raccoons. Her humans later moved again & she ended up living on lake Hickory in her elder years. She got to ride in golf carts, boats, swim in a pool & investigate all kinds of new places, people & things! Tisha leaves behind her first Mommy, Le Anne; her 2nd & final Mom, Lori; her favorite Daddy, aka: Papa- (his only brown eyed girl); a little sister Laurel; big brother Ben; her little furry brother Tobias; her Bestest Crazy Grandma, Linda; several special Aunts, MiMi & Kerri, many cousins; and multiple furry & human relatives & friends (near & far away) who loved her! Tishy’s family wish to thank Aunt MiMi & Crazy Grandma for loving & holding her when the end was near. In addition, all the staff of Startown Vet, Dr. Barlow & everyone who prayed & loved Tisha in her final hours… Her human family was so fortunate to have her for 15 years, 6 months & 19 days! She was a blessing to everyone who met her- (except for her cousin Boog… when he mistakenly put his hand in her kennel many years ago. Thankfully he forgave her & she forgave him. We will miss her immensely, especially her furry brother Tobias… who kept her strong & vibrant during her later years. We could not have asked for a better dog & one day we will see you again Tisha-over the Rainbow Bridge❤️❤️‍🩹🥰
