Sadie Kiziah

July 22, 2008 — June 19, 2023

My beloved Vizsla, Sadie, passed away on Monday, June 19 in the comfort of our home, on her favorite bed. She passed peacefully surrounded by her dad, her “Aunt Goofy”, and the most wonderful and caring veterinary team we could have possibly hoped for. She is survived by her dad, her Aunt Goofy, her grandma, two uncles, and many other family members and friends. Sadie brought lots of joy to them all. Your dad was the luckiest dog dad in the world, and he feels extremely lucky to have enjoyed over 13 years with you.

Sadie was born on July 22, 2008. She spent several months as a puppy in Guam, then moved to North Carolina. She was given up for adoption, and she joined her new dad in their home in January 2010. Sadie enjoyed walking, running, sniffing just about everything, chasing balls, being chased while carrying the ball, belly rubs, and most anything else that a dog might enjoy. She also loved Folly Beach, camping at Price Lake on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and hiking. Her favorite food was salmon. She liked almost any treat, but her favorite treats contained salmon. She especially loved homemade crispy salmon skins!

Sadie had seemingly limitless enthusiasm and positive energy, and she loved making people happy. She was always eager to give you wonderful wet kisses, then flop over on the sofa for a belly rub. Sadie lived life to the fullest, and she brought out the best in others. We love her dearly, and we will miss her. We will cherish the many wonderful memories, and we will remember that she brought a tremendous amount of joy and laughter to a lot of people. She was a sweet girl, and a very special girl, and she will live forever in our hearts
