PRINCESS VESPA PAJARILLO. (February 23,2022) In the Summer of 2009,it was brought to my attention that a cat in "animal death row" needed to be adopted out immediately, or she faced certain death. At the time, I already had two dogs, and two cats. But my heart overruled logic, and I had a new addition to my family. Princess was guesstimated to be approximately two years old at the time. She was a two time shelter surrender, because she could not get along.
She lived up to that reputation, and was not friendly to me for about two years. Sure, she would follow me around, and sit near me, just to glare.
Around year three, she started smiling and purring at me. She was pretty much glued to me after that. My little soul mate. My Familiar.
Out of my five original Texas pets, she became the last one standing.
She was with me through quite a few life changes. She also provided excellent security against any hostile rodents.
But alas, the Afterlife needed her more than me, and she answered the call of Bast last night. Though my heart is broken yet again, I am comforted knowing that she is reunited with her friends departed.
Princess, I miss you. But I will see you again, when my time comes. Feel free to visit anytime. Rally the others to meet me when my ferry arrives. I love you all.
Bast, we give you back your child.
Noble, regal, honorable cat, Princess.
Watch over her, and guide her on her way
to the spirit world.
May she be blessed in your name,
and hunt ever after beside you. So mote it be!
