Little Peppercorn (“Corny”) Mitchell passed away at home with her family on May 11, 2021. Corny was born one of eight female black poodle-yorkies in Bangor, Maine, in April 2004- and adopted by her forever family that same summer. She shared a special connection with her human mom, Terri, and they were an inseparable pair. Corny enjoyed city life in Maine, including snowy weather, whipped cream, and yard sales with her humans. She relocated to Newton NC in December of 2011 with her mom and has lived a life of leisure, loving her big yard, walks with Gramp, and mischief with four-legged friends, Mr. Bean and Franklin.
Though she was a tiny girl, less than 10 pounds, she had a big personality and a lot of spunk. While our hearts are broken and we miss our sweet poodle, we are grateful to have spent the last 17 years together. We know that her beloved Gramp Alton, kitty siblings Millennium and Little Bill, and canine cousins Stanley and Dottie, will now look after our sweet girl. Rest in peace, little Corny. We will never forget you.
Thank you to the staff of Jenkins’ Funeral Home for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Corny was cremated and her ashes will be privately interred on Mount Desert Island, Maine.
