Keido Hamby

December 31, 1969 — November 12, 2021

Keido Hamby, 9 years old of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2021 at his home with his mom by his side. Keido was born on October 31, 2012 and his parents, Sim and Erica Hamby adopted him when he was 8 weeks old. Keido brought much love, happiness and joy to his family for the short 9 years he was alive. Keido enjoyed spending as much time with his family that he could no matter what the family was doing. He enjoyed lying with his family on the couch, relaxing on the back deck on a cool summer night, running errands with dad or relaxing by the family pool. He always wanted to be with “his people” and they wanted to be with him. He loved playing fetch with dad in the back yard on a nice cool evening and sneaking on his big sisters bed when she wasn’t looking. He would always get excited when he heard mom getting up to fix his favorite breakfast which was scrambled eggs, yogurt and bananas. Keido loved sitting by mom when she would eat French fries or popcorn because he knew that she couldn’t resist giving him a few when he looked at her with those big brown eyes. Keidos tale would start to wag as soon as he knew his family was coming home and he loved lying on his back with all four paws in the air waiting on you to rub that big belly and give him lots and lots of kisses.

Those left to cherish and honor the memory of Keido are his parents, Sim and Erica Hamby, big sister, Carlie, big brother, Jayden and four legged brother, Maverick. Keido was also loved by everyone who met him. He was our gentle giant.

Keido will be cremated and his remains will stay with his loving family where they can always keep him close to them.
