Gracie Smith

On August 3rd of 2022 the heavens were blessed with the acceptance of our dearly beloved Gracie. Our family member of nearly 16 years. Gracie was truly an inspiring member of our family. Without a doubt the most obedient and most loyal family member ever.

From the time we picked her out at the pound at 10 weeks old her presence was felt. At the time she was meant to be a companion for our LaKota, a wolf hybrid of 4 years old. Gracie not only became “Kota’s” companion but the two would become true soul mates. Since Kota was older she took the role of training Gracie to become the most lovable and trusted member of our family. Fact is Gracie never needed a leash. She would always be by your side and would always come when told; Gracie never ever misbehaved. She loved being a dog. Always happy to please and love. She truly inspired us humans what love really is. Our fondest memories are to many to count. Each thought of our day over the last 15 plus years involved our Gracie.

Gracie passed on in my wife’s loving arms as she held her on the family couch knowing she was loved by us. She is the best loving family member we have known. Heaven is for all that love & all that receive love. And right now heaven is enjoying Gracie’s love. If ever there is a trueness of how kind hearted life is it is Gracie. God Bless and keep Gracie
